About

Why I do this

I’ve worked in and around holistic therapy for years. One of my first jobs was as a copywriter and proofreader in a marketing department, and it drained me. That’s when I was first drawn to holistic therapies. I trained in massage with a view to becoming an aromatherapist, and later took Reiki to master level and did a two-year diploma in crystal therapy. For some of that time I was also running an eco-friendly cleaning business with about five staff.

When I wound up the cleaning business, I tried a practice of my own, doing Reiki and crystals. I found it really hard to start from scratch. Getting my name out there was difficult, and a lot of people didn’t understand what it was or why they’d want it. The cleaning business had been so different. I got customers off the first advert and soon had more jobs than I could handle. With holistic therapy it was almost like a different animal. It was so much harder to put into words what I was doing and how it could help someone.

Over the years I went to a lot of networking with holistic therapists and heard what they were struggling with in their businesses. I moved into web design for a while, supporting people with ongoing WordPress care plans, many of them in the holistic and solo business world, and studied some coaching qualifications. Then I stepped back when my kids came along, close together. In recent years I’ve launched Wild Rose Path and trained in women’s circle facilitation.

Through all of that, and my own healing and growth, I’ve worked out where my strengths lie. I’m very spiritually open. I have animist beliefs, a connection to the land and the plants, and I’m learning to communicate with things outside this physical world. I mix that with a logical, analytical side that I got from my father.

The practitioners I’ve met are so good at what they do because of their empathy and compassion, and that drive to help people heal. I felt some of those pulls myself, but I realised my natural abilities weren’t the same as a massage therapist’s, the ones that make someone feel at ease on their couch. What I do have is the strategic, analytical side that a lot of practitioners find hard, because it was never their strong point. My passion is people’s businesses.

I want to help people start, grow and thrive in their own business, so they can build a working life around their life. Business isn’t one size fits all. This isn’t about scaling to six and seven figures. It’s about a working life that lights you up, gives you energy and fits your life, so you’re not working all the hours God sends and missing the rest of it.

I think the more people step into the work that’s meant for them, the place where they’re meant to shine, the more they’re authentically themselves. They’re expanding into this world and doing the work they’re here to do. That is how we evolve the consciousness of humanity. That is how we support this planet. That is how we need to move forward. It’s the overriding mission behind everything I do, and it’s why I feel I need to get out there now and start helping people do that.

Where to start

If your diary has gaps and word of mouth isn’t filling them like it used to, the quickest place to start is the Leak Check. It takes about three minutes and you see your result straight away. If you’d like the full written report, you put your email in at the end.

If you’d rather talk it through, there’s the Focus Session. You fill in a short form first, then we spend about 90 minutes together tracing how your last few clients found you and where that stopped working. You leave with a written map of what to keep, what to pause and what to let go, plus three next moves.

Right now I’m taking a small number of founding sessions for free, in exchange for honest feedback.

If it’s your own life that doesn’t fit anymore, that’s Wild Rose Path.
